Purity focuses on educating women about proactive solutions and localized climate actions to enhance community resilience.
Purity has been training women in Kibra about local climate actions that women can undertake include establishing community gardens for food security, installing rainwater harvesting systems, implementing recycling and waste management programs, promoting clean energy projects like solar panels and clean cooking stoves, and organizing tree planting drives. These actions not only mitigate climate change impacts but also improve livelihoods and sustainability.
Climate change poses significant challenges, such as food and water insecurity and health risks which disproportionately affect women in informal settlements. By integrating climate action with livelihoods development women can lead efforts in sustainable agriculture, water conservation, and clean energy advocacy, fostering a resilient and equitable future for their communities.
