ABOUT FPRJC!
FPRJC inspires and develops a generation of grassroots women to have a voice and ignite feminist leadership action for gender transformative change. We exists for the realization of a society free from all forms of gender-based discrimination, where every individual, regardless of their gender, age and identity can thrive and reach their full potential. Through advocacy and capacity building, we support communities to establish deep commitment to the promotion of human rights and the fight against inequalities and discrimination. We are the voice of the vulnerable and marginalized women, girls and other groups of different gender identities. We achieve this through our thematic areas on Women’s health right and well-being, Women’s Leadership & Governance and Women Climate Action and Livelihoods Development.
FPRJC seeks to engage a qualified and experienced consultant to facilitate a 5 days training program on feminist leadership, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) advocacy, and movement building for activists based in Nairobi’s informal settlements
OBJECTIVES
To enhance the skills and knowledge of feminist activists in Nairobi’s informal settlements, equipping them with the necessary tools to lead, advocate, and build sustainable movements for gender equality and SRHR.

SCOPE OF WORKS
The consultant (s) will be responsible for;
a) Development of training materials i.e. creating comprehensive training modules on feminist leadership, SRHR advocacy, and movement building. Ensure content is relevant, practical and tailored to the needs of activists from informal settlements.
b) Delivery of 5 days training session for feminist activists using participatory, inclusive and engaging training methods.
c) Provide relevant resource materials for post training use in the advocacy work by the activists.
d) Monitor and evaluate training sessions to assess progress and impact and to collect feedback for future improvements.
e) Prepare and submit a comprehensive report to FPRJC detailing the training process, participant engagement, key outcomes, and recommendations.

DELIVERABLES
The consultant(s) shall deliver the following;-
a) Training Modules: Detailed training materials and schedules.
b) Training Sessions: Successful completion of the five-day training program.
c) Resource Materials: Distribution of educational and advocacy materials to participants.
d) Evaluation Tools: Tools for monitoring training impact and participant feedback.
e) Final Report: A comprehensive report covering training details, outcomes, and suggestions for improvement

DURATION
The consultancy is expected to be completed within 6 days from the date of signing the contract.

REQUIREMENTS
The consultant(s) should have:
1. Educational Background: Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Human Rights, Social Sciences, or a related field.
2. Experience: Proven track record of at least around 2-5 years in feminist training, SRHR advocacy, and movement building, particularly within informal or marginalized communities.
3. Skills: Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to create engaging and interactive training modules.
4. Knowledge: Deep understanding of feminist theories, gender equality issues, and SRHR.
5. Language: Proficiency in English and Swahili, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
6. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt training methods to suit the needs and context of participants from informal settlements.

REPORTING
The consultant(s) will report to the Executive Director (ED).

PROPOSAL DOCUMENTS
Interested consultants should submit a narrative proposal, a detailed budget outlining all costs associated with the consultancy, curriculum vitae, relevant past work, references and cover letter.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
1. Qualifications and experience of the consultant
2. Proposed methodology and approach.
3. Clarity and relevance of the budget proposal.
4. Past performance and references.
FPRJC reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and is not bound to select the lowest-priced proposal.

All information obtained during the consultancy shall be treated as confidential and may not be disclosed to any third party without the written consent of FPRJC.
